HALLOWEEN 2010

Halloween was so fun this year!  Caleb actually understood what Halloween meant and he was READY to reap the benefits.  Since this summer, Caleb has been on a Batman kick so we knew that was his only costume choice.  Caleb and I went Trick-or-Treating while Austin stayed back and manned the front door.  Batman quickly learned that the houses with their lights on were the ones with candy.  So he made a point to point out EVERY house with their lights on...not to mention, he would quickly knock and run back about 3 steps until the people opened their doors.  Once the pumpkin was too heavy, we decided to head home.  We STILL haven't finished all the candy.  The next best part was Caleb helping Austin hand out the candy.  He gave out HANDFULS of candy to every kid so we had to turn our lights out pretty early too.

Austin took Caleb to one of our favorite Thai restaurants who was hosting pumpkin painting.  Caleb came home so proud of his initals and decorating skills.  He even slept with the pumpkin!

Caleb's school hosts a Halloween Parade and Party.  This year his class made Pirate hats and dressed as Pirates.  It was great watching the kids interact in the parade and at their class party. 

1st Annual Moskowitz RED RIVER RIVALRY 2010

     

HOOK 'EM HORNS!  BOOMER SOONER!  This is the time of year that Austin & I get to enjoy some fun household rivalry.  We had the priveledge of hosting our 1st Annual Red River Rivalry Party.  The House Divided Flag goes up and Caleb is dressed in TEXAS attire.  There was food galore (seriously lasted us for another week and we still didn't eat it all) and festive drinks.  Caleb and his best buddy Trystyn enjoyed playing while the adults indulged in the game.  After the unfortunate OKLAHOMA win, we played some Wii bowling...I'm pretty sure Caleb & Trystyn beat the dads!

2010 Fall Soccer

Caleb had another wonderful soccer season.  Austin was the Assistant Coach again this year and continues to amaze me with his patience.  It was such a blast watching how much Caleb's skills have improved last season.  The kids were practicing on passing the ball towards the end of the season and seemed to grasp the idea.  Caleb took this new skill a little too seriously at times...he would stay towards the outside of the goal while his teammates were on the other side of the field...just hoping they would pass too him.  Needless to say, this didn't happen too often.  We look forward to the next season!
