Ryan's 27th Birthday Celebration

Ryan turned 27 this year and we celebrated the best way we know how...cooking out with the family.  We enjoyed a wonderful meal and great company...while Ryan enjoyed his football :)  One of hte most memorable moments was during his gift opening...you gotta love the practical gifts from the girlfriend (Nicole you are awesome)!  We love you Ryan!  Happy Birthday!

Max's 2nd Birthday - Labor Day Weekend

My Little Brother Max is 2!!  Can you believe it??  Caleb and I were able to drive to Austin for the Labor Day Weekend and spend some quality time with The Henderson's.  We celebrated Max's birthday by the pool and had a blast.  All the boys played so well together.  Caleb did find out that he is not quite ready to jump into the pool without floaties though...he was terrified when he realized taht he couldn't go very far (much less keep his head about water) without them.  It was a very memorable time with the family and we look forward to many more like this one!  Did I mention Livia is just a jewel?!?!  She slept on my chest for almost 3 hours while the boys and I watched Avatar.  It was just precious.

After dinner, we decided that it would be wonderful to sit on the porch and enjoy the rain.  So we did!  We set up the lights, the candles, grabbed a drink and prepared Caleb for what would be his first real mud experience.  Caleb was a little apprehensive at first (it's not every day Mom says "Go play in the mud"), but after his first splash he was having a blast!  Surprisingly he was relatively clean for playing in the mud.  Caleb made some great splashes and then decided that it was time to dig with his new shovel.  He made some wonderful mud spots after Dad showed him how to properly use the shovel.  It was such a joy being able to enjoy our family, our house and nature.
